| Enrollment at The Barn is open to any family wishing to join our cooperative, parent-run nursery school without regard to race, religious persuasion, cultural heritage, national origin, political beliefs, marital status, sexual orientation or disability.
Families wishing information on the programs at The Barn can contact us for additional information and are encouraged to attend our Open House held in late September during the evening. In addition, parents may schedule an observation visit at the school during a morning session. Families wishing to be put on the enrollment list are asked to complete a registration form and pay a non-refundable $35 application fee. Applications are accepted beginning October 1st for entrance the following year (applications may be received prior to that date but are marked as received on Oct. 1st).
Current students, siblings of current students and siblings of past students who have attended the preschool program for a least one year have until January 1st to apply for the next school year. The remaining spaces are filled with new families based on the order applications have been received and taking into consideration the balance of age and gender for each program.
Acceptance letters for the preschool and toddler programs
are sent out in late January. Once notified of acceptance
to The Barn Cooperative Nursery School, the family needs
to verbally accept the offer and submit their non-refundable
deposit to reserve their space (the deposit is deducted
from the family’s 1st trimester tuition).
